This is what I got for a response. I canceled my 2 night and re-booked for 2 individual nights. All hotel rates are determined by the availability for requested stay dates. We have many guest's staying these two nights together, as such the availability is low which makes the rates raise. We do not have as many guest's staying only one night, as such we gave more availability and the rate decreases.

Yes its only 42.72 but the difference made me question.
