The app still shows SDC options not otherwise allowed by fare rules. Last month it showed SEA-LAX-SFO as a SDC option for SEA-SFO. But the options from the app can be very unpredictable.
The most out-of-the-way TPac SDC routing I've seen was SFO-EWR-PVG for a SFO-PVG flight (unfortunately the schedule didn't work for me). I have been offered, and accepted, SFO-ORD-HKG in lieu of SFO-HKG.

I've noticed recently that the app seems to no longer offer confirm-able SDC options for an itinerary that's already been upgraded. It only offers standby options in the originally booked cabin.
