Would plain old Avis rentals work, or do they have to be on a certain wizard / earning code when booked? (the kind where Hyatt website says, for example, "book with Avis using our AWP and receive credit etc. etc." )

And I'm guessing it's best not to try to chance it with a rental from Avis say, on December 29 hoping it will post by Dec 31?
