I fly Turkish quite often and have sometimes snuck a bottle of local beer from the airport lounge into my backpack and onboard (only in airports where there is no additional security between the lounge and the airplane), usually as a gift/souvenir since I don't drink beer myself. I've been wondering if this is actually something that I should be hiding/be afraid of getting in trouble for since I cannot find anything expressly banning this from the website:

Obviously, there is no restriction to buy in Duty Free (except the 5L limit) and take that on board but that can come in sealed bags sometimes which obviously my secret beer bottle does not come in and is not processed with my boarding pass (as all Duty Free purchases are). Also maybe the airport/airline mafias want to force everyone to buy from duty free so there might be some restriction because of that too. I don't know.
Of course, the lounge wouldn't be too happy since most lounges don't allow any food/drink to be taken with you but this is not really enforced and I usually put it all in my bag in front of all the workers and they don't seem to mind. But that's besides the point. The main question is the airline/civil aviation laws, etc.
Any experienced people out there have some insight? Anyone else do this?
If there's a gate scan, it might attract attention. But I can't believe low-value theft from an airport lounge is going to bother anybody.
There was an incident reported where a guy was spotted putting whisky bottles in his bag in the lounge - but I think lounge security staff simply confronted him and took back the booze.
