If you really want to see people chase status and get nothing, or close to nothing, follow vegas/gambling pages. People bust their butt to get to the next tier which gives them very little. Comps in the gambling world are based on average PLAY and not tier. But - people keep chasing it. Vegasmessageboard is my favorite. There are some on FB, but there are a way more people without a clue on the FB pages.
Especially when you can get Status without ANY PLAY................My wife and I are Caesars Diamond, MLIFE Gold, Club One ( circa ) Maverick and Wynn Platinum and obtained all 4 without ANY PLAY.
We have gambled since we received the status and get comp room offers plus food and free play, no resort fees, etc,etc but based on our gambling we would still be the lowest status level at all properties
