Take a look at British Airways Executive Club as well. When AA moved to revenue based status years back, I jumped ship to BAEC. I can usually maintain BA Silver status, which is Oneworld Sapphire and that gets me lounge access and seat selection when flying AA domestically.

Typically the hardest part about BAEC for non-Europeans is the 4 eligible BA flights per year but if you plan on going to Austria, you can take care of that by connecting in Heathrow (or Madrid if you fly Iberia operated and marketed flights).
