We split up a 10 day trip 50/50 in Costa Brava/Barcelona. We stayed in Begur (in town) and really enjoyed it. Great little town to use as a base to jump around to the other small towns. It's almost entirely a pedestrian city, very walkable. We were there in late August so it was beach weather, but they were packed. We stayed away. We found most of the towns very walkable, but you had to do quick drives between them. Parking was easy everywhere there wasn't a beach and even that was awful.

We stayed at La Bionda ( https://labiondabegur.com/en/ )and it was fantastic. 8 rooms so it's really a B&B with a little more privacy. Carla runs the property and she is wonderful. After a day or 2, we just let her book our reservations for dinner for us. She was incredibly helpful with everything and anything we could have possibly needed. They have a couple of card access parking spots in covered car park a block away that we found very useful for our rental.

We also stopped by Vins i Licors Grau on the outskirts of Palafrugell and got a case of wine for the week, which was a great idea. It's like a Costco sized wine store.
