Completed a two-night rewards booking this past Sunday. Was upgraded to a first floor vineyard view room (Explorist). We were ofered wine at check-in, and gladly accepted. I love the location of this propety. It puts you in good base to explore Calistoga, St. Helena, Yountville, and even downtown. We didn't care much for downtown Napa though.
The room has a very modern Japanese feel, and we loved it. It's quite spacious, and we liked that the toilet and bathrooms were separate. We utilized the fire put outside a couple of times, but the weather was quite cold. We did not order room service or dine at the property.
The pool is heated year-round, and there is a steam room, but we didn't really have time to enjoy the amenities.
On one of the mornings, I took an early stroll over to Beringer before business hours, and it was completely deserted which was pretty neat for exploring.
I highly recommend this hotel if you're planning to explore Napa Valley. We did have a really hard time finding ubers, so we just drove everything and took the necessary measures to avoid drinking and driving. I also highly recommend flying into STS rather than SFO, OAK, or SAC.
