I hate it too. On my last flight last month there was a kid playing a game on his tab or gameboy. He was actually on the far side of the aisle but it woke me up because it was so loud and the banging it was going on in his gadget. I really do not want to listen to what others are watching and listening and it is the right way to use headphones or earphones to listen. By the way I have seen adults do it too.
