Cash is still accepted in most places, but some restaurants have gone cashless. Think hawkers still accept cash - they may prefer it for tax declaration purposes.
Some shops accept certain forms of digital payment, but not all (e.g. eNETs/paylah/GrabPay instead of credit cards).
The biggest difference I feel is that there seems to be more acceptance for cashless forms of payment compared to pre-pandemic times.
I carry minimal cash these days - just a little bit for backup in case there are issues with digital payment like connection problems, or for the odd times when it's "cash only".
