What was up with TWA and Cairo? Government contract route? None of the US3 fly this route anymore so it must not be a big profit driver. If anything, I think United would be the first to bring back Cairo out of the US3.
The actual routing was JFK-CAI-RUH, so I guess government/military contracts. I recall this was one of a very few TATL routes operating till the AA takeover (that AA decided not to continue).
