We may all have to get used to the fact that crew across more airlines are more international these days, less experienced, and probably less well trained in how to deliver the soft product.
So if the OP is considering jumping ship to Star Alliance, being somewhat selective of which alliance members to fly there may be useful!

I've come to appreciate the local crew a lot of the Mexico route. Many of them been on for years and got bags of experience in the club and First cabins. Always willing to have a chat at the CW kitchen galley. Perhaps an advantage of these routes over some of those not requiring local language speaking crew.
