I took your advice and ordered the domestic carryon but opted for the two wheel as I dislike spinners.
I also ordered the expandable cabin bag, although according to the measurements it is is 1” to large to be a personal item on United.

I am curious if anyone has a had an issue with it as a personal carry on or fitting it under the seat.
