Most of the times I've had food poisoning I started to feel symptoms within a couple hours and I can tell what it was that I ate that caused it (usually as I'm throwing it up).
Food poisoning isn't a single organism, some like salmonella need more than 24 hours to colonise the gut whereas something like Cl.perfringens could have you ill in 12 hours or less as it is a toxin making you ill not the bacterial infection. The most rapid would be S.aureus which could be 90 mins onwards, again, a toxin former. A huge amount of clarification would be from exactly what one ate in the preceeding 24 hours and the exact nature of the symptoms
