Obviously Timatic works on the final destination essentially, and mentioning transit requirements were applicable. So if flying USA-UK-Italy, then it's a USA-Italy flight and the focus is on the Italian side. Whereas most people in this forum tend to be very much interested in the UK section of requirements.

It should be noted that this remains an airline enforced requirement. The PLF deals with after arrival, so airlines need to see a PLF to allow boarding (unless exempt) and will now need to be OK on the test resutl too. It's highly unlikely that either the test result or the PLF will be checked at the UK Border. So a lot of what we had to do, have to do, is focused on what a check-in agent will be happy with.
