Sorry but you are comparing apples and oranges, comparing the contact centres to check in.

Check in staff have to be aware of such issues in case someone hasnt got the correct documents.

In the contact centre we dont receive training and cant offer advice on travel documents which has been the situation long before Covid. BAs stance is that it is each passengers own responsibility to check visa and other requirements.
