As part of adding to the discussion, and what got me thinking about this, is that I was flying CO a couple weeks ago and I was able to get an agent to check me in at the President's Club in IAH (in transit to DEN) for my flight the following day FROM DEN.

I'm going to have to ask at the WC next time through DTW if they can do it too.
