Let's face it: it is getting very difficult to fly to/from Hong Kong.
CX is forced to cancel many longhaul flights and retain a skeleton schedule for the foreseeable future.
Hardly any European airlines left. AF cancelled its December flights and will not resume the route. LX decided to stop flying to HK. LH stopped flying, but is considering a reroute via BKK (like KL). BA stopped and considering options. AY is the only airline flying nonstop from Europe , but is reducing frequency. KL flies via BKK. The ME airlines are frequently suspended (EK stops in BKK when they fly).
From America, only AC flies (with stop in ICN).
One can also transit on Asian airlines like SQ and KE.
Transit flights will be made more difficult if HK Government shortens to PCR test period (say from 72 to 48 or 24).

For those having to fly back to HK the situation is nightmarish with the full Q hotel situation.
It has become hell to travel from/to Hong Kong.
