Am I being soft, or are other people cancelling trips right now on the basis the reward isn’t worth the risk? Or should I get over myself and go?
We are supposedly going on a cruise next Friday departing Fort Lauderdale. I am in Dominican Republic at the moment and my mum is in the UK, we are supposed to be meeting in Miami next Wednesday. Today I really questioned whether it is worth it, I spent an entire morning preparing all the forms my mother needs, and we both have to have PCR tests on Tuesday and Wednesday (the Wednesday is for the cruise who insist on a PCR two days before boarding). And then we have to book more tests when we land. To be honest, if my mother wasn't the age she is, I would say stuff it and just not bother. Way too much hassle, way too many things can go wrong, way too many extra costs popping up.
So I think you are right, a lot of people will be thinking that it's not worth it.
