A hotel’s unwillingness to cave on their cost-control concerns related to housekeeping since the pandemic means some hotels have become less generous with late checkout than was previously the case. And even to begin with, the Hilton late check-out thing was a squishy “benefit”.
Some Hilton hotel owners/managers — even at times along with the owners/managers of some neighboring hotels to Hilton properties — have shifted up their gear in de facto sharing housekeeping resources with other hotels. That doesn’t work in favor of complimentary late checkout on the basis of hotel program status or anything else.
