Hampton Inn initially denied late check out
YORK, PA H.I. solid place and having stayed several times for family visits. Upon check in, inquired for a 12 pm check out instead of 11 like we usually do. ( The extra hour is huge for the wife to get ready and like always, we are staying Saturday night and would like to be able to sleep in a bit longer.
I am gold and honestly benefit the *late check out* more than bonus points at that level. I knew it is never a guarantee, but I am also not asking for much with a simple request. I was denied a 12 pm check out right away as the front desk said they need to turn over the rooms as they had a full house and no late check outs were being granted. F.F with me writing a review as I usually do that evening, also including the disappointment of said denied late check out. I receive a call from a new front desk around an hour that they will now give me the check out for 12.
Is the power of the review that reactive or did I get lucky? Do you feel I was pulling teeth? I was thinking they could have been *fresh out* of late check out requests, but having me stayed with a hotel full of bus groups that were all gone by mid morning, I highly doubt that. Having switched to Hilton a year ago to pay a little more for these nicer, cleaner limited service properties, I am usually 100 percent happy with the experience.
