An OK business hotel, good location if you need to be in the Kirchberg area, easy to get around on the tram - which, like all public transport in Luxembourg, is free of charge all day for everyone. Otherwise unremarkable, and if you don't need the points, the Melia would be my favourite in Kirchberg (get a City view room).

The Sofitel Grand Ducal is something else altogether. Newer, more stylish, some of the best views in Luxembourg City, but a massive pain in the a*** if you have to go to Kirchberg at peak hours (it's not especially close to the tram and the free city bikes don't help in winter) and the surrounding area sucks.
