Would you please adapt those instructions for someone in the US and with a Google Voice number already? (Of course, I'm asking because that description fits me. Also, I have an iPhone that can use an eSIM.)

In particular, will it be evident how to port a Google Fi number into Google Voice? If Google Fi is paused, then does Google Voice (using the same number) remain active? If I install (is that the right word?) an eSIM for Google Fi, would my physical SIM continue to work? Is the Google Fi pausing and unpausing done in my Google account? What did I forget to ask?

Sorry for what are probably a bunch of newbie questions, but I'm a newbie. (I just got the Google Voice number as a result of this thread.) I did poke around fi.google.com and think I know the answers to some of the questions, but I could be mistaken and would appreciate confirmation.

Is there a better thread (or forum) for this? I'm interested more generally, but it does seem applicable to the topic of this discussion, at least for someone who will be traveling internationally.
