Capital One lounge at DFW is a solid offering, and honestly I don't see myself ever going to an AA lounge at terminal D unless it has FFD in it. Centurion (if there's not a wait) and Capital One collectively outdo FL by a margin.
I'm still chasing my British Airways Gold renewal so glad to hear you are semi-grounded for awhile.......more quality beverages out there for plebeians like me.

With American only offering the DFW Admirals Club at the moment, Centurion lounge was the obvious choice at Terminal D. However, lost my buzz last month when: 1) Discovered the Centurion lounge has "continental" breakfast only from 7:00am to 7:30am and; 2) The dragon upon entry screamed at us to form a line behind some invisible stanchion and then reminded us to keep our masks on (all screamed while she was chewing with her mask pulled down).

Will be schlepping through DFW next week in the morning, so looking forward to checking out the Capital One lounge. Hopefully you left something good to imbibe at the bar.
