The 2FA is absolutely ridiculous. I use Google Fi and I can’t get an SMS code or a phone call because Capital One’s system thinks Google Fi is a VOIP service. I called customer service and they said that they have no workaround. They activated my card manually but I can’t use the app nor online banking. They said I have to call in and ask if I want information about my transactions or if I want to go over my monthly bill. Is the only real practical solution to change cell phone providers? I don’t understand why they need to make their security processes so more convoluted than AMEX, Chase etc. Really frustrated.
