The fare involved is only good for aaa-EWR-IAD-GRU-bbb (in P class). I was not successful in getting it changed to something more direct, despite the booking classes involved being available.
For some background, this person used an NYC based travel agency that caters to Brazilians and sold her an economy ticket for over $3,000 that had an even worse original routing and layovers - I took the opportunity to attempt to rebook it and was able to do so in Polaris the whole way for less money.
