I got 6A ! (in a Boeing 777-200 LR, DFW --> DXB, EK 222 Business Class )

Eons ago, I asked for advice on which Dallas to Dubai Business Class seat I should select. I purchased the discounted Business Class seat which allows seat selection 48 hrs before departure.

Based on detailed advice from thijsseh and ___1 other person who was wonderfully detailed; name to be added here___
I was going to select 6A or 6K if available.
(knowing the caveat that people in row 6 are more likely to be reassigned due to bassinets)

Seating just opened up and it appears I was auto-assigned to 6A!

I clicked "Change Seat Selection" just to see how full the flight will be.

Response: "Sorry, you can't change your seat at this time. Please try again during Checkin."
Odd. It appears I can't really select my Business Class seat at all. Even now @ T-48. Though I'm very happy with that one.

I am recovering from an injury with a big incision. If anyone drops anything on me I'll be in a ton of pain.
I like the idea of 6A in that it seems less likely that someone will drop anything on me.
Not supposed to lift > 10 lbs for 1 more month.

Hmm. Now that I think about it, maybe this seat has less storage nearby and will require me to lift more out of the overhead?

In any event, I can't wait to experience Dubai and Expo2020! I've only been to Dubai once for a tech event. Wasn't sure what to expect, but I totally enjoyed it. Everyone in Dubai seemed so genuinely nice, starting with the Emirates flight attendants. They all looked and acted like interesting chic models as they were lined up waiting to board. Their uniforms made the effect even more pronounced to my brain. Departure time can't arrive soon enough!
