as anyone on this forum knows I am a particular critic of BA.

but in this instance the events are outside of their control. You were able to drive, a car was available and you got home.

BA will refund, but and expectation of compensation is probably wishful thinking.

the staff at outstations are contractors in ba uniforms with little or no loyalty or commitment to ba. The days of coaches and hand holding are over and you need to fend for your self and claim later with the protection of insurance behind you. You will travel happier knowing and preparing for that. I’d have more aggrieved at being stuck on board for 2 hours!
