A few questions need to be answered here however. It's all very well saying "BA will sort this out" and "pay up". This is a major outstation for BA (EDI) and they have done nothing to help pax and this could have been quite disturbing for many. Surely the options could have and should have been at the very least passed on from base to the CSD on board if ground staff unable (was there any ground staff representing the airline around?). It sounds third rate and something that BA surely don't want to be categorised. BA should not get themselves in the "stranded pax " headlines....they are bad enough without that added title!
