What is realistic to expect in the Polaris lounges in IAD and EWR? She’ll be there for 2.5 and 5 hours, so it makes sense to eat there.
Food with less starch, gluten, and sugar would work (basically like the old “diabetic” meals). Does the PL kitchen take special orders?
With 7.5 hours of layover time, sounds like she will be spending most of the day at airports. Is there a direct flight from IAD to the destination? For someone with special requirements, it might be more practical to have a suitable meal at home before the flight.
