How early can one drop bags at CDG for an evening BA flight to LHR?
I'll be arriving CDG in the morning, but only fly to LHR with BA at 18h10. Would like to go into town, but not schlep the check-in luggage I'll have no need for.

Are there any airline/airport restrictions these days on how early before the flight I can drop the bags with BA? Or as long as the BA check-in desk is open, can I safely presume they'll accept my bags, even for a flight much later in the day?
