The criticism that you have to click through with Hyatt to see if the property has points availability is rather petty IMO. Moreover, Marriott (which was referenced as somehow being better) is in fact worse because it will falsely indicate points availability when there is in fact none (or when what there is priced considerably higher than the "teaser" that appears in the search results).
Do some Hyatts play games with award inventory? Yes that's well documented.

Hyatt properties are not required to offer cash and points or club/suite point upgrades so I don't think I'd call that inventory games. YMMV, but I've found some fantastic bargains on suites since Hyatt rolled out the ability to book points upgrades online.
