Your luggage has been tagged as do not load
Strange goings on in the flounge early this morning.
Was sat in a chair with a drink when another pax sat opposite me. Shortly after he was approached by a staff member (not certain if BA of airport) and told he would have to return to the check in desk to deal with an item of his that wasn't going to be allowed on the plane. Pax pointed out that his flight was due to depart in 50 minutes and asked if the offending item could be stored at the airport until his return. He was told no. When he said he had to get on the flight he was told that his bags had been tagged 'do not load'.
Last I saw he was being escorted back to check in (I assume going back through the first wing the way he came in was not allowed) to collect the offending item and put it in his car in the short stay car park. Then check back in again. I've no idea how the pax was in the lounge when the offending item was at check in, but the staff member was quite apologetic, suggesting that it may have been a BA cock up.
