New York - New Jersey Air Traffic

Interesting article in the Newark Star Ledger today. Apparently, EWR had almost one million more passangers this year than JFK, and is now the region's busiest airport. The three major NY-NJ airports combined, again comprised the busiest air travel market in the world (over 86 million people).

The article mentioned CO's major expansion as one of the reasons for EWR's growth.

I actually thought it was getting better at EWR this year, as I've had much fewer instances of waiting to take off at other airports because EWR is too busy to let us in.

Then again, driving on the NJ Turnpike on a clear day, one can always see the next three or four planes waiting to land lined up in the sky.
