That sounds more like a computer systems problem than a recognition/benefit delivery problem. I suspect your status just wasn't registering on your room account at all, for any of the benefits to be triggered. Especially the part about being charged for premium internet, since that's a automated process that either charges/waives the fees based on membership. Add that to the fact that basically no other status benefits were provided, and it makes be think the system somehow just didn't carry your status to the room account. Did you ask them after check-in about the missing welcome amenity, and the missing drink tickets, etc?
