IIRC, your icon used to light up if someone else quoted you in a thread. I've often relied on this instead of bookmarking/subscribing to a thread where I've asked a question. Does this still happen? I missed a response last week. Couldn't find an existing thread.

I wish there was a monthly update of all the "stuff" they're doing to our website so we could keep up! Just learned by accident about the photo problem last month.
