Interesting. I have multiple active gift cards and I have checked the Recent Card Transactions on all of them and they all say “Forced Redeem” wherever I used them. Anyhow, it’s nothing to worry about. There was no drama to use the gift cards at any of those hotels and no one was forced to do anything.
