Airlines are literally filling planes to capacity to international destinations right now. You don’t want to travel fine. Lots of people do and are, and they are spending money on hotel rooms. I think IHG has been generous with the extensions on the certs.
None of my friends who recently traveled to Europe and central America felt put out by the “inconveniences” you describe. They enjoyed their vacations and had great stories to share. None of them cared that they had to wear a mask to see the Mona Lisa.
