That's what I would do Spend a few days soaking up the sun at FS, Hyatt or Westin (to name just a few places), playing a few rounds of golf (not my kind of sport though ), or just lounging about before catching a direct flight on Hawaiian to HNL ^ ... In fact, there is quite a lot to do in and around PHX so might as well spend a few days there.

Another plus: IMHO, PHX ( :-: my home for 5 years) is not as crowded at immigration/customs as other airports mentioned here. Just a thought...
