Ritz Boston team has been excellent from a service perspective. I ran out of small bills and tipped the porter $50 and he gave me the most sincere/humble reaction I have ever seen from a hotel employee. Great guy, even if he has questionable opinions on basketball. Rooms are meh and location is OK. Fine for a quick 2 night stay before returning to Cambridge. Not a top tier Boston hotel but definitely a great choice for ambassadors.
I lived in Boston for a while during the Larry Bird era (a great time to be a Celtic fan). The old Ritz-Carlton was where Jack Nicholson used to stay when he came to see his beloved Lakers play in Boston. I never stayed there since I lived nearby but used to eat in the ground-floor restaurant with Newbury-street entrance and enjoyed their Sunday brunch with buckwheat pancakes from time to time. Don't know when I'll ever be back but thanks for the update on the RC.
