Yeah, this is old news.
And it's nuts. It has to do with some belief that one-way ticket travelers are doing so for business and will pay whatever cost.
It's not so much that business travelers buy one-way, but that the primary way of discounting a ticket for the leisure market, requiring a Saturday night stay, requires a round-trip booking.
