The SK machines in CPH and LHR also accept paper Varig tickets for the CPH-LHR or vice versa route.

If anyone knows how to get an eticket, and/or use the SK internet checkin for RG CPH-LHR or vice versa, please let me know.

I have also used JK and LH machines to check in for SK flights at some places - Athens and Barcelona, I think, maybe Manchester?

Conclusion - it might be worth a try, especially if the SQ flight has a SK codeshare (even if you have SQ ticket). SQ also sometimes have a dedicated Internet check in desk e.g. LHR.
