She was almost apologetic that they were completely sold out of standard suites (even though it is a Tuesday night - but, Thanksgiving week so I believe it), but she did offer to give us a balcony overlooking the golf course, which actually is a considerable upgrade over our original room. Moral of the story is: it doesn't hurt to ask for a better upgrade when physically arriving, even if you got a bit of an upgrade for the app checkin.
Conclusion to my review:

Front desk told us they would be comping our breakfast but didn't mention any limit on how much we could order. We opted to order dishes from the kitchen rather than go with the buffet, since they said the buffet was $25 which is more than most of the entrees you could order on the menu. It took quite a while to get our food but it was worth the wait - the food was excellent, nicely presented and creative, quite good. We had avocado toast/eggs, eggs benedict, and the granola with figs and yogurt (which was really good). Total bill was for my wife and I and our son which in theory should be covered by Globalist; we shall see whether they take it off our bill as promised at the front desk.

I should also mention the room was one of the modern Hyatt builds with the cool shower with no door, etc. An upgrade in terms of finish from the somewhat tired Hyatt Regency San Francisco which was stayed in over the weekend, which is an impressive looking atrium and building but the rooms and bathrooms were dated.

UPDATE: We asked for late checkout but the latest they could do was 12:30pm. That was fine because we were headed to the Aquarium at 1pm anyway.

UPDATE 2: I had earlier sent in a text via the app asking for 1pm checkout and mentioned I was a Globalist in that text; got a response we were good for 1pm. It seems if you call the front desk and ask for late checkout it might not be sufficient; sending a text mentioning status got us what we wanted. Again, this property isn't proactive but can be flexible if you ask in the right way.

We got the breakfast comped in full except for a portion of the tip. We had added $15 for tip and were later told a 15% tip was already included so we sort of way overtipped. But we decided to just leave it.

Overall not a bad experience.
