I have seen those "no single pass" notices. It is a data point of one, but I was flying ORD-DCA and the UC said no single passes. I ignored it and just scanned my boarding pass and no issues. Maybe just act confident? Of course YMMV. Also, I am UA Silver...but I doubt that changed anything.
The OP isn't asking about 1-time passes. This is bundle purchase and UA clubs will need to accept this, unlike 1-time passes you get from e.g. credit cards
