In other news, look at this seat falling apart. Looking around, I see a few of them starting to come apart like that. Looking around, I see a bunch of others that are coming apart, although less drastically, on the sides or the top. These planes are not that old, they shouldn't be showing this kind of wear and tear.

I had pointed this out a few posts up, but that's worse that what I have seen. This doesn't seem to be happening on the A220's. Recognising that the manufacturer is likely the same, might there be a quality difference between the two seats.
The Boeing aircraft seem to wear fast. I was on one of the early 788's about a month ago and the J cabin was looking pretty worn. I guess that is why they depreciate the cabin in 7 years.
