Thanks, that's the point I was making. Those web-based Thailand groups may have thousands of members, but they represent a very small statistical population of recent arrivals: making it difficult to draw meaningful conclusions.

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to accept that very few arrivals test positive. The post-arrival testing/quarantine is absurd: I don't believe Thailand is sequencing positive results to detect novel forms of the virus; so in essence they are searching for those who returned false-negatives in pre-departure tests, or who became infected in the hours before departure - which seems a pointless exercise in a country awash with cases. Still I guess it's a handy earner for laboratories and some hotels .....

From what I hear Malaysia is heading for a similar regime, in spite of a much more robust vaccination programme than Thailand. Thankfully, Cambodia seems to be bucking the trend by accepting origin-country vaccination certificates and tests for admitting tourists.
