At least the 2021 Paperwhite has USB-C, finally!

I've resigned myself to the fact that my collection of $20 and under rechargeable objects will have micro-B ports on them for at least another few years. The micro-B port is cheaper and significantly smaller on the device end. No big deal for a tablet or even a phone, but on a keychain-sized flashlight or a tiny $5 bike taillight it makes a difference. I just keep a C to micro-B cable in my bag and we have a designated "old stuff charger" in the house.
