I've probably had <5 in my 50+ years. My mom isn't a sandwich person so my school lunches never included a sandwich. And even today, if I'm going to eat a sandwich it is going to be an exceptional one. So I might have a foie gras and jelly on some artisanal bread, but I'm never making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Sandwich. In fact, the only peanut butter that gets consumed in our house is by my husband, or maybe in a dessert recipe.
