HELLO ALL

I was more then happy to find this forum, and the people that share so much useful information, unfortunatly ( or fortunatly ) i travel only once in a while so im not elite but i have a freind that is willing to give me a upgrade certificate, so my question is that if i find an elite member at the airport if he can upgrade me, or i shouldnt waste my time looking for one?

if yes what is my best approach?
i have a MLL pass is there a better chance to find someone there?

any help is appriciated
