I supposed it's a good thing neither Klaus Goersch not Calin are at AC to take the blame for this.

We all understand the newer aircraft have newer materials, some in the name of safety, some in the name of fuel efficiency and many in the name of cost. etc

But it amuses me nonetheless, that I recently flew these happy little A32x birds. There are those who complained about them for whatever reason, but I spent many, many years flying across the continent on them. While some are now retired and others may have moved on to other things, a few of these little birds are still flying for AC, despite comments made by others.

As AC FT readers know, I recently flew them again, and was reminded how incredibly comfortable and spacious they are. I also didn't see peeling, shredding, or tearing on the seats so I'd be curious to know if any of the currently active ones had seats replaced, or rather, if any of them fell into the mess shown above at the same age. (Of course, it is also possible that along with the "quality" of the materials used on the AC MAX, they were also affected by being parked in the dry desert recently.)

And just as a note, this photo below was from my recent flight on the A320, Fin 238 C-FZUB, and she's 18.8 years old. On the return I flew an A321, Fin 456 C-GJVX and she's 19.6 years old.

Do we think these MAX birds will look the same at the same age?
